Featured Saturday Night Blues Concert
The DK4 Blues Quartet are guaranteed to cook festival concert goers on Saturday night. Although there is a definite Chicago-style in their rifts, the quartet has a N’orlens boogie-woogie soul. DK Stewart will play piano with the energetic style he has lent to
Robert Cray, Curtis Salgado and Paul deLay. Also Peter Dammann on guitar (he played with Paul delay at last year’s festival), Carlton Jackson on drums and Don Campbell on bass. But there is more…the New Orleans saxophone ace, Reggie Houston will join in with his famous Mardi Gras horn. Reggie has played with Fats Domino and Charmaine Neville and has recorded with Peter Gabriel.
The DK4 Blues Quartet will play Saturday, February 24th at the Kiawanda Community Center on Kiwanda Drive in Pacific City. Refreshments and libations available. Festival goers can choose either the early Saturday night concert, 8 to 9:30 pm, or the late concert, 10 to 11:30 pm. Admission is free for 3-Day Festival Pass holders. Tickets will go fast so mark your choice on the registration form. Others can purchase a concert ticket for $15 pre-registration or $20 at the door.
